The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded forward Bennett MacArthur to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for defenseman Colton Poolman.
Poolman, signed through the 2024-25 season with an average annual value of $775,000 at the NHL level, will join Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the Penguins’ AHL affiliate.
The 29-year-old defenseman brings experience from a five-year professional career in the AHL, where he played 218 games and recorded six goals, 34 assists, and a plus-33 rating. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound defenseman also has three assists in 27 Calder Cup Playoff games.
