The Pennsylvania Farm Show is in the final stages of preparation for opening day tomorrow.
Yesterday, Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding toured the farm show complex, showing off some of the must-see exhibits that will be part of the annual mid-winter show. The theme for this year’s show is “Powering Pennsylvania” which is meant to celebrate the best of the state’s agriculture and the people who power our lives, communities and economy every day. Among the items to see include the annual butter sculpture called “From Moo to Marvel: Dairy Cows Power Pennsylvania”, the horse-powered events like pony pulls and draft teams and drill demonstrations from the State Police mounted unit, tractors and conservation exhibits, and of course the farm show food court.
Speaking of food, Food Network Chef Jet Tila will be on hand on Sunday conducting two cooking demos.
The farm show officially opens Saturday and will run through January 11th. Admission is free, but there is a $15 parking fee.
