Governor Tom Wolf will deliver his final budget address to a joint session of the state house and senate today.
On Monday, Wolf released a video message, reflecting on his time in office. He also touted several accomplishments including low uninsured rates, fewer prisoners in state prisons and others. He also said that he will be the first governor to turn the state over to the next Governor with a budget surplus in four decades. Wolf also said that with that surplus, he will propose keeping taxes the same.
In his message, the Governor said that he will focus on education, the minimum wage and a reduction in the corporate net income tax. The budget address will be delivered at 11:30 this morning.
