The IUP basbell team split a doubleheader with UPJ Monday.
After losing the opener, 10-5, the Crimson Hawks won game two on a solo homer by Matt Swartz in the sixth inning. Swartz ended the day 3 for 6, with a double, home run, RBI, and two runs scored.
Starer Brian Albert got the win, running his record to 2-0.
IUP will host No. 15 Mercyhurst Friday, then play two at Mercyhurst Saturday.
