The courts will be quiet today, but three sentencing hearings are scheduled for tomorrow, including one for a suspect in a shooting during IUPatty’s weekend in 2023.
21-year-old Donovan Jamal Sanders of Johnstown is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, terroistic threats, simple assault and harassment for the shooting on March 25th at a home on Wayne Avenue. Indiana Borough Police said at the time that a single gunshot was fired into the ceiling as a fight was going on inside the house. No injuries were reported and Sanders was seen leaving the scene by security cameras.
Sanders pleaded guilty to a charge of terroristic threats in October of this year.
