Bryan Rust scored the winning goal in overtime as the Pens topped the Flyers, 5-4, in Pittsburgh.
Justin Schultz tallied three assists and Evgeni Malkin scored his 42nd goal, which is good for third place in the league. The Pens are in second place, in the division three points behind Washington. They are also three points ahead of the Blue Jackets in the battle for home ice.
The Penguins visit the Red Wings Tuesday night.
