While conditions tonight may be ideal for a sleigh and reindeer to fly across the sky, driving on the ground today may prove difficult.
The snowfall last night has left some roads very slick this morning. PennDOT road crews are out plowing and treating the roads with salt to make sure things are passable this morning. The Department of Transportation also reminds everyone to make sure snow and ice is removed from your car before you head out, as any accident caused by snow flying off a car could be your fault if you didn’t remove the snow. Also, drive at a speed that is suitable for the weather conditions. Anytime the wipers are on, headlights should also be on. And above all, do not drive distracted.
If you are behind a plow truck, PennDOT advises that you give them plenty of room to work, and never try to pass them while it is plowing or spreading winter materials.
