In Heritage Conference boys action, United hit the jets midway through the third quarter and blasted by Marion Center. Todd Marino was there.(78-47 United win.)
Homer-Center topped Apollo Ridge, 69-56, in a non-conference game. Max Voyda scored 23 and Angelo Alexander 22 for the Wildcats.
In girls play, River Valley walloped Johnstown, 71-47, sprinting to a 24-6 lead after one quarter with their pressure defense leading to transition buckets. Kennady Kitner led the Panthers with 26 points, including six threes. Ava Persichetti added 18 points.
Marion Center clobbered DuBois, 58-27. Macie Miller scored 16 points with five steals, Brynnley Haggerty added 10 points and Alivia Ruddock scored 9 points and had 12 rebounds. Natalie Black scored 9 points and Mollie Shadle had six steals.
JUNIOR HIGH GIRLS
Johnstown defeated River Valley 8th grade, 38-14. For River Valley, Emily Kepple had 5 points and Madisyn Dirienzo 4. Johnstown also won the 7th grade game, 28-7. River Valley’s Sophia Schultz scored 3 points.
