Clymer Borough Council passed the 2025 general budget at their meeting Wednesday night.
The budget balances at $611,030 for revenues and expenses, and it contains no tax increase for residents. Borough Manager Sonya Schrenkel said no changes were made to the preliminary budget presented last month but some funds had to be rearranged to balance it and to offset increases in costs.
In other business, it was announced that the borough secured $468,000 in Local Share Account grant funds for a water retention project on a drain along 6th Street, with some of that money also going towards smaller projects along Hancock and Sage Streets.
Schrenkel said additional funding was allocated for these projects.
Gibson-Thomas Engineering in Indiana will oversee the project and a special meeting will be held in a few weeks to approve a contract with the firm.
