The IUP Women’s Basketball team started play in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Tournament on a high note with a 90-65 victory over California (PA) at Virginia Union University on Friday.
Senior Forward Meghan Smith scored a team-high 25 points. She was 10-of-19 from the floor, and 4-of-9 from beyond the arc. Stellar performances were also turned in by Carolyn Appelby with 16 points, Audrey Stapleton with 12 points and Brittany Robinson with 10 points.
IUP will play Glenville State today in the Atlantic Region Semi-finals. You can hear it on U-92.5 FM and the U-92.5 Sportschannel starting at 4:30 with the pre-game show.
