Even though we are about to come out of a winter weather advisory at 10:00, the weather in our area will not be doing drivers and pedestrians any favors.
A Winter Weather advisory is scheduled to end at 10:00 this morning and an aerial flood warning will end at 11:00 AM, but even though precipitation will stop, Accuweather Meteorologist Bill Deger says that with the sub-freezing temperatures today, things will remain icy.
The weather has not been kind to crews working to keep roads clear. PennDOT District 10 Community Relations Coordinator Christina Gibbs said that yesterday’s rain caused a lot of complications in getting salt on the roads, but crews have been out since yesterday to make sure that roads are passable.
More snow is expected tonight, but it will be little to no accumulation, and temperatures are expected to dip into the teens overnight.
