The Steelers return to practice today in preparation for Sunday’s interstate showdown with Philadelphia and they will have to rework the wide receiver corps. as they’ll likely be without George Pickens, who is dealing with a grade two hamstring sprain.
Coach Mike Tomlin said during his weekly news conference yesterday Pickens’ injury was revealed in a postgame MRI this past Sunday, and while he didn’t officially rule him out, he did say Pickens “could be classified as doubtful.”
Regarding Sunday’s game with the Eagles, Tomlin made an… interesting… statement regarding his excitement for it.
Tomlin said the Eagles’ offense runs through running back Saquon Barkley.
Tomlin adds the Birds can attack through the air too.
Tomlin also said defensive lineman Larry Ogunjobi and safety Donte Jackson will start the practice week in limited capacity but both should be ready by Sunday.
