Three major cases are coming up for motions hearings today in Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas.
29-year-old Kailum Jamal Miller of Indiana is due in court in connection with charges connected with a fire he allegedly set at an apartment complex at 310 Maple Street in Indiana on February 12th. He allegedly lit a mattress and coat on fire before fleeing. He was later picked up by police. Three people were displaced. Today’s hearing will concern a motion to compel discovery connected with the case.
Also due for a motions hearing is 26-year-old Pagie Madison Sue Walker of Strongstown. She faces two counts each of aggravated assault, child endangerment, harassment and simple assault. The charges stem from an investigation that started after reports of abuse were received on February 26th concerning incidents at a Main Street in Ernest Borough. The motions hearing will deal with a supplemental omnibus pretrial motion for relief.
The third case on the schedule concerns 22-year-old Patricia Ann Hullenbaugh of Indiana, who faces charges of criminal homicide, possession of an instrument of crime and other offenses for the death of her infant child. Police claimed she called 911 on January 6th of this year reporting that her child stopped breathing by falling out of the crib with the child’s face in the mattress. She later changed her story and admitted to smothering the child with a blanket. The motion concerns an extension of time for a forensic pathologist.
All three cases will go before Indiana County President Judge Thomas Bianco.
