Steelers coach Mike Tomlin will hold his weekly media session today at noon, and he’ll be talking about Saquon Barkley and the 11-2 Philadelphia Eagles, Sunday’s opponent in Philly. Barkley just set the all-time single-season rushing record for the Eagles, surpassing Shady McCoy’s 2013 total of 1,607 yards in just 13 games. Barkley has 1,623 yards so far with four games left in the season.
Tomlin’s Steelers will have an even tougher task stopping Barkley and the Eagles. Defensive end Larry Ogunjobi is nursing a groin injury that kept him out of Sunday’s win over Cleveland. And the Steelers’ offense will very likely be without wide receiver George Pickens for a second straight game. He has a Grade Two hamstring injury and the Post Gazette’s Gerry Dulac reports that Pickens “is not expected to play in Philly.”
