Homer-Center senior basketball standout Emily Worcester made her commitment to St. Vincent on Monday in a letter-signing ceremony at the Homer-Center School District administrative building. Worcester and fellow senior Alexis Newhouse were also recognized as the first duo in school history to reach 1,000 points as members of the same class. They are the ninth and 10th girls in school history to reach that milestone. They finished ranked seventh (Newhouse) and ninth (Worcester) on the all-time girls’ list. Newhouse reached 1,000 points on Dec. 28, 2017 vs Richland and Worcester hit it on Feb. 1 vs Ligonier Valley.
