PennDOT is inviting the public to vote for its annual “Paint the Plow” competition. The contest encourages local students to express creativity by painting safe driving messages on plows used by department trucks.
This year’s theme is “Use your reason when it’s freezin’,” which was chosen to remind drivers to practice safe driving habits over the winter months. Five Indiana County schools are entered in this year’s competition. Those are Indiana, Penns Manor, River Valley, United, and Marion Center. They are up against Redbank Valley, Union, Keystone, and Brookville Area school districts.
Voting December 9th and closes on the 15th. You can pick your favorite painted plow by clicking here. The photo that receives the most votes between those dates will be deemed the “fan favorite” in the area, and winners for each category will be unveiled later this month.
