Heritage Conference Boys
The top Heritage Conference East team, Penns Manor, visited the number two team last night, and the Comets were beaten by Cambria Heights, 49-45. Caleb Whitefield led the Highlanders with 12 points. Grant Grimaldi scored 25 for Penns Manor, which lost for only the third time this season.
Penns Manor and Cambria Heights will represent the eastern division in the Heritage Conference boys’ semifinals on Monday night. The Comets will be the top seed and will host the number two team from the west. The Highlanders will visit the number one team from the west. United and West Shamokin are still to determine the order of finish in the west.
Marion Center tripped up Purchase Line last night.
West Shamokin continued its hot streak with a win over River Valley. (53-44)
United knocked off Homer Center, 73-40. Brad Felix led the Lions with 27 points and Jacob Boring had 10. Austin Zenisek led Homer Center with 13 points and Michael Krejocic had 12.
WPIAL BOYS
Armstrong ran over Indiana, 63-39 behind 23 points from Jack Valasek. Even Brocious led the Little Indians with 16 points.
RIFLE
Indiana lost to Butler in a virtual rifle match yesterday. Madeline Faulkner was the top shooter for the Little Indians, who finish their season with a record of 1-13.
Tonight on the air, we are scheduled to bring you the Marion Center girls at Purchase Line, weather permitting, on 92.5 FM U92. The West Shamokin girls were scheduled to visit River Valley on Cat Country, but school is canceled today at West Shamokin.
