Fire companies were called out to a home in Grant Township Wednesday morning for a fire.
Indiana County 911 made the initial dispatch at 8:01 AM to a home on Dixonville Road. Plumville and Marion Center fire departments responded to the scene along with the Hazmat Team and Citizens’ Ambulance Marion Center fire officials said that the house was located near the area of Raspberry Road, and that smoke was showing from the chimney of the single-story home. Initial reports said that the fire had spread to the roof. Crews were able to extinguish the fire and clean the chimney within two hours. No further damage was reported and there were no injuries.
Indiana County 911 also reported a vehicle fire in White Township yesterday. Indiana Fire Association was dispatched to Route 286 East for the reported fire. No other details are available for that fire.
