The Center Township Supervisors passed their 2025 budget last night.
The budget balances out at $1.46 million and keeps property taxes at 1.3 mills. The budget was initially put up for advertisement at a special meeting last month.
Also last night, the supervisors announced that work needed to be done on the bridge on South Main Street near Homer City below the school. Supervisors Chairman Matt Housholder said that the bridge that goes over Tearing Run was recently inspected by PennDOT.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane on the bridge for now, and the township engineer estimates repairs will cost $300,000. Housholder says they hope to seek bids for the project soon.
