Defenseman Chad Ruhwedel played last night despite being placed briefly on the covid-19 list yesterday. Sullivan had indicated earlier in the day that Ruhwedel would not play, but after the game he said that while the situation was complex, the best explanation was that he “tested out” of the protocol.
The Penguins are off until after the All-Star break. Their next game is next Tuesday in Boston.
