College football’s second signing day is today, with teams hoping to get recruits to sign their letters of intent. That includes IUP, which will be looking to restock after losing seven seniors and two grad students. One of those who departed was starting quarterback Harry Woodberry, but the team yesterday announced the signing of Pittsburg State transfer quarterback Mak Sexton. IUP has a live feed available at its football website for announcing the signings as they come in throughout the day.
Nationally, there are more than 1,250 players in the NCAA transfer portal, so not only will today be letter-of-intent day for high school players who did not announce their choice in the December early signing period, but many transfer decisions will be made today, too.
