Monday night’s opponent, the South Carolina Beaufort Sand Sharks, suffered their first loss last night, falling 80-69 to Savannah State. One of their wins this season was a 106-88 triumph over UPJ in Johnstown on November 16th. SCB is 6-1 and is coached by former IUP assistant coach Ron Fudala, who spent four years here, becoming the first head coach at South Carolina Beaufort after the school established the men’s basketball program in 2022.
The Sand Sharks will play Slippery Rock on Saturday before visiting IUP on Monday.
