Over the weekend, State Police arrested a suspect in the theft of an UTV and other items from a garage in Green Township.
Police say that 47-year-old Brian James Barr of Commodore was found by troopers in possession of the stolen 2017 Polaris RZR UTV with snowplow, a chainsaw, a weed trimmer and a GPS, all of which were reported stolen on January 27th in an incident at the victim’s detached garage along Route 580. Two five-gallon Blitz gas cans that were also stolen have not yet been recovered.
Barr was charged with one count of felony Receiving Stolen Property. He was arraigned in front of District Judge Robert Bell, Sr., and placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is set for February 9th at 10:00 AM.
