PLENTY OF WORK TO DO IN AFC NORTH FOR TOMLIN’S TROOPS

The Steelers open the week as 2-and-a-half point underdogs on the road at Cincinnati this Sunday, coming off their loss at Cleveland on Thursday.  At 8-3, Pittsburgh is still atop the AFC North with tonight’s Ravens/Chargers game still pending.  Baltimore is 7-4, the Bengals are 4-7 and the Browns are 3-8.  Cincinnati had their bye week last week.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports the Steelers are likely to re-sign quarterback Russell Wilson.  The team also has to make a decision on whether or not it can afford to try to retain QB Justin Fields.

The Steelers have a gauntlet to run between now and the end of the season.  After the Bengals on Sunday, they play the Browns again on December 8^th, then visit the Eagles December 15^th, the Ravens on the 21^st, and four days later, on Christmas Day, they host the Chiefs before closing at home against the Bengals on January 5^th.
