The IUP women’s volleyball team will find out tonight when, where, and against whom they will play in the NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament. IUP claimed a thrilling 3-1 victory over top seed Gannon on Saturday night to win the PSAC Championship.
It’s the second PSAC title in program history and their first since 2002, and it secures the automatic bid into the Regional.
Nyla Birch was the tournament MVP after delivering 16 kills with a .560 hitting percentage, along with two blocks, and a team-high 17 points in the title match.
Coach Lorelle Hoyer says IUP and Athletic Director Todd Garzarelli have been a good match for her, and for her volleyball program.
The Atlantic Region selection show is tonight at 7:30 PM.
