Formal arraignment for Ray Shetler Jr. has been set for March 30th before Westmoreland County Common Pleas Court Judge Meagan Bilik-DeFazio. Her court received the papers from Magisterial District Court Judge Denise Thiel on Thursday.
The 37-year-old Shelter, who is now listed as living in Bolivar, is in the Westmoreland County Prison with bond set at $250,000. He was taken into custody December 7th after authorities found him hiding in a St. Clair Township mobile home. He’d been wanted for skipping a probation hearing. He fought with police and county sheriff’s deputies, injuring one of them and suffering injuries himself before being subdued with the aid of a taser.
Shetler is charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault and single counts of disarming a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
