Pitchers and catchers reported yesterday to Pirates Spring Training in Bradenton, Florida. Some of their position player teammates are anxious to get going too, so they’ve already reported, even though they’re not due in camp until Sunday. Among them was the new third baseman Colin Moran, who was acquired from Houston in the Gerritt Cole trade.
The pitchers’ first workouts are tomorrow, and the first full-squad practice is next Monday. The Pirates’ first spring training game is on February 23rd against the Rays.
