The Pitt Panthers are 4-0 after pasting West Virginia, 86-62 in the Backyard Brawl on Friday night. Tonight, the Panthers take on Virginia Military Institute at the Peterson Events Center. VMI is 4-1 against mid-major competition and has topped 100 points twice already this season. They beat Charleston Southern, 80-69 on Saturday.
Pitt set an Oakland Zoo attendance record with 3,200 student tickets sold for the game against WVU on Friday. Official attendance at The Pete was 10,882. Coach Jeff Capel is hoping the support continues tonight.
