Spring training is fast approaching for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Pitchers and catchers report a week from today with their first workout two days later. The rest of the team gets to town on the 18th and the first full-squad practice is on the 19th. The Pirates’ first spring training game is on February 23rd against the Rays.
The big question around the Pirates lately has whether or not Josh Harrison will be traded. The Bucs’ and Mets were reportedly discussing the possibility, but MLB Network’s Ken Rosenthal says the Mets have turned their attention now to former Reds and Yankees third baseman Todd Frazier or another free agent, former Red Sox infielder Eduardo Nunez.
