Philadelphia Street in Indiana was flooded with spectators Monday morning as they took in the 2024 Veteran’s Day Parade.
The parade featured a performance of “America the Beautiful” from IUP’s marching band The Legend. Veterans who served in the armed forces also took part in the parade. While he did not partake in the parade, former Indiana County Commissioner Rodney Ruddock was in awe at the amount of people who came out to celebrate those who served.
Following the parade, a formal dedication was held for the placement of a plaque honoring more than 140 Revolutionary War veterans buried in Indiana County’s cemeteries. You can view a video of that on our WCCS Facebook page.
