After getting beat by 27 points on Sunday at Clemson, the Pitt Panthers rebounded last night with a 64-53 win over Syracuse, a team they lost to by 16 just two weeks ago.
Jamarius Burton scored 21 points and Mouhammadu Guey added 15 to lead the Panthers, who collected 15 assists on 20 field goals and clamped down defensively on the Syracuse offense.
Coach Jeff Capel was proud of the effort.
Pitt travels to Boston College to play the Eagles on Saturday afternoon.
