GIRLS BASKETBALL
Marlee Kochman scored her 1,000th career point as Homer Center blasted Derry, 59-22, last night in a non-conference game.
Penns Manor also stepped out of conference and beat Williamsburg, 56-48. Megan Dumm scored 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, and Deja Gillo scored 17. Both Dumm and Gillo dished out five assists. It’s a quality win for Penns Manor. Williamsburg came into the game at 11-3. Penns Manor is 14-2.
HERITAGE CONFERENCE BOYS BASKETBALL
United had its hands full with River Valley last night, but the Lions remain undefeated in Heritage Conference play, coming away with a 65-62 win. United led by five at the half and the Lions were ahead, 51-37, after three, but they let the Panthers back into the game behind the play of Dom Speal, Rocco Bartolini, and Braden Staats, River Valley outscored United, 25-14, in the fourth quarter, but did not have quite enough to come all the way back. Brad Felix scored 18, Joe Marion 16, and Johnny Muchesko 16 for United. Bartolini led River Valley with 18, 16 of them in the second half. Staats and Cam Reaugh each had 12.

Indiana lost to Mt. Lebanon, 797-60x to 772-22x. The top shooter for Indiana was Izaak Bloch with a 99-5x.
