The River Valley School Board tonight will vote on a motion stipulating that they will not raise taxes by more than the state index of 4.7 percent. As with other districts passing similar motions, the action does not indicate whether or not the district will impose any tax increase in this year’s budget.
Other considerations on a very busy board agenda tonight will include a motion to purchase 450 new Chromebooks and a separate motion to purchase spare Chromebooks parts for repairs.
There are a number of personnel items, including the hiring of a school psychologist.
There will be a motion to authorize the district’s engineering firm to proceed with development of the athletic complex and fields.
The school board will also vote on a sixth revision to the River Valley Health & Safety Plan.
