The Penguins spotted the New York Rangers a 2-1 lead after one period, but snapped off four unanswered goals the rest of the way to take a 5-2 victory last night at PPG Paints Arena.
Dominik Simon scored his first NHL goal and Phil Kessel collected his 700th NHL point on a the game-winning goal in the second period.
Patric Hornqvist put the Pens on top 1-0 in the first period, but the Rangers scored twice to take a 2-1 lead headed to the second.
In the third period, the Penguins’ Sidney Crosby scored and Carl Hagelin added the empty netter as Pittsburgh won its fourth straight game.
