The Penguins return to action tonight, mired in a six-game losing streak and trying to find the right mix of personnel to pull them out of their slump. The Pens enter the game with a record of 3-7-1 while the Anaheim Ducks are 4-4-1.
Coach Mike Sullivan tried numerous line changes in Tuesday’s loss to Minnesota but he ended up benching Kevin Hayes and Jesse Puljujarvi and working with a short bench to try to get back into the game. The Penguins had the day off yesterday.
Alex Ndeljkovic is expected to start in goal for the Pens. Meanwhile, Tristan Jarry was in net last night for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, continuing his conditioning assignment. He made 27 saves on 30 shots in a 4-3 shootout win over Bridgeport.
Tonight’s game faces off shortly after 7 o’clock. The pregame airs on 92.5 FM U92 at 6.
