CROSS COUNTRY
At the WPIAL cross country championships yesterday, Indiana’s top runner, Kaiden Branan, finished 21st in AA, with a time of 16:48.1. The winner was Freeport’s Michael Braun, with a time of 15:18.9.
VOLLEYBALL
Penn Cambria tripped up Marion Center in a tense five-setter in the District 6 AA volleyball first round. The Panthers took the first set but the Stingers won the next two by identical 25-22 scores. Penn Cambria won the fourth set 25-21 and took the decisive fifth set, 15-9.
