Emergency crews endured cold conditions as they worked at two vehicle accident scenes in Southern Indiana County on Thursday.
The first was reported on Route 22 East in Burrell Township at 5:51 PM. Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were dispatched at the time.
When they got there, crews found a passenger van on the shoulder and a pick up truck on the median. Black Lick fire officials said on Facebook that traffic was shut down and redirected to have the East Bound lane take traffic in both directions temporarily. While there was no entrapment reported, crews did help the drivers out of their vehicles.
Minor injuries were reported. State Police assisted fire crews on-scene with the investigation. No word yet on the exact cause of the crash.
The second was in East Wheatfield Township as Indiana County 911 reported an accident on Faloon Hollow Road. Armagh fire crews and state police were on-scene for that crash.
State police have not released information on the Faloon Hollow Road crash.
