The IUP men throttled Seton Hill last night but the women struggled for the second straight game since their return from a covid-induced stoppage.
Jack Benedict reports.
The IUP men are playing with a depleted roster. Tommy Demogerontis missed last night’s game with an injury and Bryce Radford remains out. With Shawndale Jones out for the season and with illness afflicting the team as well, coach Joe Lombardi went deep into his bench.
Lombardi says his team was ready from the start.
Lombardi is now 18-1 all-time against Seton Hill. The IUP teams will be busy in the next week. They play Clarion on the road on Saturday afternoon and follow up on Monday with a doubleheader Monday night at UPJ. They’ll also play next Wednesday and Saturday, at home against Edinboro and Mercyhurst.
