It didn’t take long for linebacker James Harrison to find a new team after his release from the Steelers. Harrison is joining the New England Patriots, who signed Pittsburgh’s all-time sacks leader to a one-year deal to shore up their troubled outside linebacker/pass rusher corps.
The Steelers are preparing for the regular season finale against the Browns Sunday at Heinz Field, with Coach Mike Tomlin not yet sure yesterday how he will manage his personnel. Pittsburgh needs a win paired with a New England loss to the Jets clinch the top-seed in the AFC. Tomlin will most likely go with his starters and watch the scoreboard to find out if the Jets are giving the Pats a game. If it gets out of hand in New England, Tomlin could pull his starters against Cleveland, which is hoping to avoid becoming the second team in NFL history to go 0-and-16.
Both the Steelers and the Patriots play at 1 o’clock on Sunday afternoon.
