The Penguins return to the ice tonight after a three-day break, hosting the Columbus Blue Jackets at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens have lost five-of-seven and are seventh in the Metropolitan Division with 39 points. Columbus is tied for second in the division with 46.
The entire team is working to break out of their season-long slump. Coach Mike Sullivan says the team’s recent struggles are everybody’s responsibility, and goaltender Matt Murray says he hopes the Penguins rough stretch will ultimately help the team.
