The Penguins frenetic early-season schedule resumes tonight on home ice against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Pens have won two games in a row and yesterday they activated goaltender Alex Ndeljkovic from the injured list and sent him to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for conditioning.
The Penguins will have to figure out what to do with the goaltending when Ndeljkovic is ready to return to the NHL. Rookie Joel Blomqvist is playing very well while veteran Tristan Jarry has played very poorly. He has a 5.47 goals-against average versus Blomqvist’s 2.86.
