The Penguins will be back on the ice tomorrow against Columbus at PPG Paints Arena, hosting the Blue Jackets. Pittsburgh beat the Blue Jackets in a shootout last week in Columbus and the team was hoping to build some momentum off that win. However, on Saturday, they were shut out on home ice, 4-0 by Anaheim.
Coach Mike Sullivan says the team’s first-period struggles in the Anaheim game were typical of many Penguins games this year. The Penguins have lost five-of-seven and are seventh in the Metropolitan Division with 39 points. Columbus is tied for second in the division with 46.
