The Heritage Conference cross country championships happen today at their traditional site, the Marion Center Park. The United boys and girls will both be trying for their second straight titles, and United’s Colton Henning is vying for his second consecutive championship. The girls will get a new champ, as last year’s winner, Lydia Miller of Marion Center, graduated.
The meet record holders are Homer-Center’s Angel Piccirillo, who ran a 19:04.2 in 2011, and Marion Center’s Hunter Armstrong, with a 16:32 run in 2019.
The girls lead it off at 4:15 with the boys to follow shortly after.
