The Steelers begin their offseason with decisions to make up and down the roster, and for the first time in 19 years, the biggest question will be who plays quarterback. Mason Rudolph has been waiting in the wings for Ben Roethlisberger to retire and that time has come.
If Rudolph wins the job, wide receiver Diontae Johnson is confident that he can be a winner.
Rudolph is 5-4-1 in ten starts as a Steeler. His one start this year was the tie against Detroit.
The Steelers need a lot of help in the draft and maybe the free agent market.
One area that was particularly rough this year was the rushing defense. Pittsburgh gave up more yards per rushing attempt and more yards rushing per game than any other team. Still, linebacker Alex Highsmith says he thinks they have the personnel to get back to the top of the defensive rankings.
The Steelers will have the 20th pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

The L.A. Rams crushed Arizona last night, 34-11 to close out the NFC Wild Card Round. Matthew Stafford threw two touchdowns passes for his first career playoff victory in 13 years in the NFL. The Rams will play the Bucs in Tampa in the second round.
