Indiana County can expect to see some significant snowfall this weekend as a major snow storm makes its way across the United States.
The winter storm event is expected to bring snow and freezing rain to different parts of the country, along with about a foot of snow in the Midwest. The storm is expected to hit Indiana County Sunday night and Accuweather Meteorologist Bill Deger says that six to ten inches will fall in Indiana County over Sunday and into Monday.
The winter storm watch from the National Weather Service will start at 1:00 PM on Sunday and run for 24 hours through Monday afternoon.
Deger reminds everyone to be careful if you have to go out during the snowstorm for any reason.
