In a defensive struggle, Hampton downed Indiana last night in a Section 2 game, 49-37. Katie Kovalchick led the Little Indians with 16 points as they fell to 7-3 and 4-1 in the section. The Talbots are 10-1, and 3-1 in the section.
HERITAGE CONFERENCE BOYS
United put away a determined Northern Cambria last night, 58-36. Brad Felix punched holes in the packed-in Colts zone defense, and Ben Tomb’s passing found him repeatedly to help the Lions pull away. Tied 12-12, the Lions’ Jacob Boring beat the first quarter buzzer with a three-pointer that put United on top for good.
Felix led United with 18 points and Tomb had 12. For Northern Cambria, Peyton Myers scored 19.
Homer-Center fell to Cambria Heights, 66-41. Bernie Whiteford led the Highlanders with 20 points and Carter Lamb added 13. Michael Krejocic had 22 points for the Wildcats, 16 in the second half and ten in the fourth quarter.
