Mail-in voting is underway in Pennsylvania. Indiana County voters requesting a mail-in ballot have begun receiving them.
As of last Friday, the Department of State listed twenty counties where mail-in ballots are already available, and it reported that about one-and-a-half million voters had applied for a mail-in ballot.
Registered voters have until October 29th to apply for a mail-in ballot, and if you are not registered to vote yet, you have until October 21st to do that. Voters can actually apply for a mail-in ballot, complete it, and turn it in on the same day at each county’s election office offering counter service. All mail-in ballots must be returned by 8 PM on Election Day, November 5th. Some counties have satellite elections offices to supplement their main office.
The Indiana County NAACP will conduct a voter registration event this coming Saturday from 10 AM t 2 PM at the Victory Christian Assembly church at 418 Church Street in Indiana.
