The Steelers will start Justin Fields at quarterback Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, and Isaac Seumalo looks good to start at right guard.
Fields will get the nod over Russell Wilson, who was still a limited practice participant yesterday. Seumalo was a full practice participant for the first time since training camp and appears ready to go.
Linebacker Nick Herbig was out with an ankle injury, as was running back Cordarell Patterson, while running back Jaylen Warren and tight end MyCole Pruitt both sat out with knee injuries. Linebacker Alex Highsmith has already been ruled out with a groin injury.
Defensive lineman Keeanu Benton was limited with an ankle injury and linebacker Jeremiah Moon returned as a full practice participant, although he remains on injured reserve for now with an ankle injury suffered in training camp. The Steelers also promoted practice squad running back Aaron Shampklin to the active roster for the second straight week.
Already having lost outside rushers Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence for Sunday’s game, the Cowboys now will be without star wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who has an infection in his knee.
Thursday Night Football tonight opens Week Five with Atlanta visiting Tampa Bay.
