A suspect in a 2010 gas station robbery is due in court today for a plea hearing.
Court documents show 32-year-old Alexander Pelletier of Williamsport is facing charges of simple assault and attempted theft for the incident on September 17th of 2010 at a gas station in Shelocta. On that day, a man cleaning the store said Pelletier came in, demanded money and threatened to shoot him. He swung a vacuum cleaner at Pelletier and the two got into a fight. The suspect fled the scene but left behind a bandana that was covering his face.
State police used DNA evidence from the bandana to confirm Pelletier’s identity. He was arrested by troopers from the Mountoursville barracks.
