Blairsville Police arrested a Clymer man on drug-related charges following an incident last night in downtown Blairsville.
Police say that 29-year-old Frank Albert Moose III was seen driving away from the Sheetz along East Market Street. Police knew that Moose was driving on a suspended license, so they initiated a traffic stop. Moose led police on a brief chase until he stopped for police along East Iron Alley. During the traffic stop, Moose fled on foot, going from East Iron Alley to West South Alley and Spring Street, where he gave himself up. During the pursuit, he discarded a camouflage pouch that had 16 stamp bags of heroin and two needles.
Moose is now in Indiana County Jail on a warrant from probation. He is charged in this case with possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license connected with DUI, resisting arrest and summary traffic charges.
